SMS terms and opt-in

The short version
This page describes the text messaging Contractor Catch operates on behalf of client businesses. If you received a text and want it to stop, the short answer is: reply STOP and it stops immediately.
What gets sent
- A reply to your call. If you phoned a business and nobody could answer, you may receive a text from that business asking what you need. That's a reply to your inquiry.
- Follow-up on a quote. If a business sent you an estimate, you may receive occasional follow-up messages about that estimate until you respond or it's closed off.
- Booking and scheduling messages relating to work you've arranged.
We do not send marketing broadcasts, and we do not message people who have had no contact with the business.
Consent, frequency and cost
Consent arises from your contact with the business — a call you placed, a quote you requested, or work you booked. Message frequency varies with the conversation; an estimate follow-up sequence is typically a handful of messages over a few weeks and stops as soon as you answer.
Message and data rates may apply. Your carrier's standard rates for receiving and sending texts apply; neither the business nor Contractor Catch charges you anything.
How to stop messages
Reply STOP to any message to end all automated messages from that business, including any other sequence you're in. Reply HELP for contact information. Opt-outs take effect immediately and are permanent until you contact the business again.
You can also email info@ContractorCatch.com with the number involved and we'll action it directly.
Delivery and emergencies
Delivery depends on carriers and networks and is not guaranteed. Messages are not monitored continuously — do not use text to report an emergency. Call your business contact directly, or 911 where there's a risk to safety.
How message content is stored and deleted is covered in the privacy policy. The rules behind all of this are summarised in our guide for contractors.
